Rules of the Route

1. ¡Viva! Streets is not a race. Maintain a safe speed!

2. Be mindful of your surroundings. Don’t stop in the middle of the route!

3. Be safe! Pass on the left and wear a helmet.

4. Ask for help if you need it. Staff and volunteers are nearby in bright shirts.

5. And most importantly: HAVE FUN!

The following are not permitted at ¡Viva! Streets, due to Denver City law:

 

• Unauthorized solicitation

• Alcoholic beverages

• Narcotics or illegal drugs

• Bathing in pools or fountains

• Damage to property

• Feeding animals

• Firecrackers or explosives

• Firearms

• Fires

• Littering (including pet waste)

• Public intoxication

• Unauthorized driving or parking

• Unauthorized vending

• Unleashed animals

• Weapons

As consideration for being allowed to participate in ¡Viva! Streets Denver, all participants are deemed to have released from liability and waived any right to sue its organizers, their employees, officers, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, including claims of negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss suffered as a result of participating in ¡Viva! Streets Denver.

By participating in ¡Viva! Streets Denver, each participant understands that there are risks, such as physical and/or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability, death or economic loss. These injuries or outcomes may arise from a participant’s or other’s actions, inactions, or negligence, or the condition of the location (s) or facility (ies). Nonetheless, participants assume all known and unknown risks of participation in ¡Viva! Streets Denver.

Please be advised that photographs will be taken at the event for use on the ¡Viva! Streets Denver, Taste of Colorado, Downtown Denver Partnership, and sponsor marketing materials and in the press. By entering this event, you consent to the potential use of your image and likeness in photo, video, or audio.
